William Hackett HA Zinc Touch Master Links
A firm favourite amongst many in the offshore rigging and container lifting market, William Hackett’s OS+ HA Master Links display the brands renowned manufacturing qualities.
Integrated with Zinc-Tough TM technology, these Master Links have been specifically designed to provide superior protection from hydrogen embrittlement and stress corrosion cracking – two key elements when operating in rigorous offshore environments.
If you didn’t know, Hydrogen Embrittlement is the process by which metals like steel become brittle and fracture easily under stress due to the introduction of subsequent diffusion of hydrogen into the metal. Also known as ‘Hydrogen Assisted Stress Cracking’, this process is particular common in offshore applications where corrosion poses a serious threat.
Combining their knowledge, Hackett’s and McKinnon Chain have introduced the Zinc Tough technology, infuses these masterlinks with the tensile strength to deliver a 5:1 safety factor with a hardness value of as low as 4-36 HRC.
Available in diameters of 22mm up to 75mm and safe working load limits of 7 tonnes to 100 tonnes (select from dropdown menu), each unit has been individually proof load tested to 2.5 times the stated WLL.
Capable of safely and efficiently operating in temperatures ranging from -40° C to + 200°C, these fully certified masterlinks are embossed with product identity details such as batch and date for complete traceability.
